The Street/Strip (Stage II) 4L80E includes all new friction materials, steels, bands, rollerized forward hub, rollerized output shaft thrust, heavy duty intermediate snap ring, 6 clutch direct pack, Hi-Energy carbon clutches in select locations, hydraulic modifications for much increased power capacity and firmer shifting.
The lowest level 4L80E we sell is reliable and warranteed at 750 HP. Transbrake is $250 additional.

Stage 2.5
The Stage 2.5 build has come about due to the need for the billet input shaft and forward hub on applications above 750 HP but not necessarily needing the billet intermediate shaft.
Most applications that would need the billet intermediate shaft (Stage III) would also need the Super Drum (Stage 4). There are some exceptions and that is why we like to discuss each build with the customer.
This build saves the cost of the additional shaft for those who don't need it.

Stage III 4L80E includes a billet input shaft, billet rollerized forward hub, and billet intermediate shaft. This makes it reliable to 1000 HP/TQ. Transbrake is $250 additional.

Stage 4 4L80E build is the Stage III build but adds a 36 element sprag Super Drum for increased power capacity up to 1250 HP/TQ. Transbrake is standard no additional cost.

All 4L80Es also include a new boost valve assembly, new shift solenoids, manifold pressure switch, internal wiring, as applicable.
Mechanical speedometer tailhousing kits are available for $550 additional. These include the tailhousing with new bushing, seal, o-ring, speedometer gears calibrated for your combo, and driven speedo housing.
