200-4R Tricks

200-4R Fixed Line Pressure modification for high power applications.
We've found this to be a good mod on the bigger power 200-4R applications. It takes the TV cable adjustment out of the line pressure control. It protects builders from an installer error as well.

It's a simple modification. You are looping TV supply oil to the TV boost valve and bypassing the line bias valve.

The screwdriver is pointing at the TV supply circuit in the valve body.

You must drill a hole through the seperator plate at this area. We drill approximately a .090" hole here. Be sure you also punch a hole in the gaskets.

You also need to block off the line bias. Remove the line bias valve, tap the hole shown in the picture below to 1/4-20, install a set screw, and re-install the line bias line-up.

That is all that is required for fixed line pressure.

We like to use the pink 700-R4 pressure regulator spring, and .500" TV boost valve. This will yield 270-275 psi line.
Use the TransGo No Yo-Yo pump ring kit when assembling the pump. 7 or 10 vein count.

We install the checkballs in the case in the locations shown above. Install all 3 checkalls in the valve body.
There are variations on how you do the accumulators and feed holes in the valve body but we recommend leaving the 1-2 accumulator active, using a red 700-R4 accumulator spring, drill the 2nd feed hole to .125".
Drill the 3rd feed hole to .140". Drill the 4th feed to .096" and leave that accumulator active.
